  • Back for its second edition, the Blue Water EduFest organised by ONE°15 Marina will be held in Singapore from 2 – 4 November 2023
  • Over the course of three days, the event will present an array of activities, including an illuminating conference, a prestigious awards ceremony and a meaningful beach clean-up

Singapore, 16 August 2023 – Blue Water EduFest, a non-profit marine conservation event organised by ONE15 Events Management (“ONE°15”), a subsidiary of SUTL Enterprise Limited (“SUTL”), returns for its second edition this November following a successful inaugural event last year which brought together stakeholders to connect and form a unified community with a common purpose: to make a substantial impact in ocean conservation for future generations.

To be staged from 2 to 4 November at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, this event provides a vital platform for all stakeholders to take action and join in the critical mission to protect our oceans and coastlines in this part of the world. With a fervent aim to empower young and fearless eco-champions in Southeast Asia, it envisions pushing the boundaries of marine conservation with unwavering passion and purpose.

This event is presented by Citi Private Bank, supported by Sentosa Development Corporation, in partnership with The International SeaKeepers Society. Blue Water EduFest 2023 will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, yacht owners, entrepreneurs, eco-visionaries, media influencers, and ocean enthusiasts who are passionate about coastal and marine conservation.

“At SUTL and ONE°15 Marina, the ocean lies at the very heart of our business and operations. We bear a profound responsibility to uphold the conservation of this precious marine ecosystem. Through the 2nd edition of Blue Water EduFest 2023, I would like to rally our business collaborators, stakeholders and the yachting community to unite and take action, to protect our oceans and coastlines for the well-being of future generations. By embracing the mindset of “leaving it to others”, we can never be a catalyst for change!” exclaimed Mr Arthur Tay, CEO and Executive Director of SUTL Enterprise and the brainchild of Blue Water EduFest.

The event will encompass a two-day conference, The Ocean Collective Summit, organised in collaboration with The International SeaKeepers Society and The Fabien Cousteau Ocean Learning Centre. Through several keynote speeches, panel discussions and fireside chats, esteemed international and regional speakers will highlight the importance of marine conservation and protection.

“We recognise a powerful synergy in fortifying ocean conservation initiatives through the conference. This gathering will unite changemakers, advocates, and collaborators, empowering our community in the region to drive impactful change for our oceans,” shared Mr Julian Chang, Board Member and President of The International SeaKeepers Society Asia.

A highly anticipated highlight of Blue Water EduFest 2023 is the Blue Water Heroes Awards, powered by Tatler Gen.T, a prestigious ceremony dedicated to honouring young and passionate individuals who have demonstrated unwavering dedication to marine preservation in Southeast Asia. Winners from last year will present insightful accounts of their ongoing research and conservation work.

Additionally, selected youths of the Antarctic Climate Expedition (ACE), organised by Ocean Geographic Society in February, will share their transformational experiences during the event. The expedition, spearheaded by Ocean Geographic founder Michael Aw and the legendary oceanographer Dr Sylvia Earle, comprised of selected everyday heroes around the world in their professional spheres, were on board a vessel named after Dr. Earle.

“We are pleased to support Blue Water EduFest again, to further strengthen community capacity building which is essential to accelerate and scale-up ocean sustainability. Citi Private Bank’s commitment to this partnership is more relevant than ever in the global effort to address pressing sustainability challenges,” said Mr Lee Lung-Nien, Chairman & Head of South Asia, Citi Private Bank.

The event will culminate with a community beach clean-up. This noteworthy initiative will witness active engagement from event attendees, esteemed partners, sponsors, ONE15 members, and students, all uniting to create a profound impact through their participation.
